In October 2021 Gerhard has assumed the role of Vice President, Business Field Electrification at AVL List GmbH. In this role he holds the responsibility for portfolio strategy and global business development in electrified propulsion systems engineering.
Gerhard holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Economics from the Technical University in Graz, Austria and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration from the Open University, Milton Keynes, UK.
He has spent many years abroad in the US and in Italy in various engineering and business development functions. From 2017 to 2021 Gerhard has set-up the engineering and test factory operations at the xEV and Smart Vehicle Tech Center in Cavriago (RE), Italy, where BEV and HEV propulsion systems are developed for the Italian and international customer base.
With his global industry experience and business acumen, he is committed to supporting the automotive industry in it’s strive to enable sustainable transportation in combination with viable business models.
