Elio Fonti started his career as a consultant, first at KPMG Advisory and subsequently at McKinsey & Company where he spent the majority of his time. At McKinsey, Elio covered multiple roles with an increasing level of responsibility from Senior Consultant to Junior Partner. He supported banking clients in Europe on a wide range of business and risk management-related topics, leading the definition and implementation of large transformation programmes including the design and implementation of new organisational setups, processes and systems to match evolving regulations, and the development of applications of credit and risk principles to non-banking clients.
At the beginning of 2022, Elio joined Iveco Group – right after the spin-off from CNH Industrial – as Head of Strategy & PMO for the Financial Services Business Unit, reporting to the President. Currently Elio serves two roles within the Financial Services Business Unit, as Head of Business Development & Strategy and Head of GATE, Iveco Group’s legal entity offering pay-per-use rental solutions for zero-emission vehicles. His primary focus at Iveco Group has been to define and implement innovative business models and services, setting up new commercial and strategic partnerships.
Elio holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, a master’s degree in Experimental Aerodynamics from Cranfield University in the UK, and a master’s degree in Management Engineering from the Politecnico of Torino.
